Conditions of Participation

Organiser:

The company Fortunasys.com prop. Ralf P. Geppert is the organiser of the “Bixxeschubbse” Championship” and holds the rights for it. As required by law for liability reasons, it also appoints an association, contractor or local authority to be on site for the duration of the event.

Liability:

The organiser accepts no liability whatsoever for tournament participants, visitors or other people who are not part of the organisation committee. This also applies to personal property! No objections can be raised against the decision of the organiser(s). Every participant is to follow the instructions of the organiser. The organiser will provide medical personnel.

Each participant is responsible for ensuring they have enough to drink before and after the race.

Order of Events and the Objective of the Race:

There will be separate men's and women's competitions. However, both will start in one tournament. Each team, male or female, is made up of 4 people. The substituting of team members is not permitted, unless someone has been injured and therefore can no longer start. Mixed teams are not permitted. The tournament will be split into groups of at least 3 teams, the best team for each group will enter the final against the other top teams. In the preliminary round each team will race twice, in the finals the aggregated time of those two runs will count as the best time.

Some events may deviate from this, however in such cases this will be made clear before the tournament begins.

The organiser will decide on the starting order and grouping of the first preliminary round. A laser light barrier on the finishing line will be used for timekeeping, this timing is mandatory for each participant.

Depending on the total number of participants, the organiser reserves the right to alter the format of the race! The above order of events is designed for 25 teams!

Entry Fee:

The entry fee for participation in the tournament is given on the application page. The entry fee will not be refunded if participants withdraw. Should the race be cancelled for any reason (an act of God, bad weather or similar) or broken off, the organiser will retain the entry fee as compensation for expenses. Should all 15 starting places be filled, you can add your team to the waiting list. The entry fee will only be due if and when a starting place becomes free due to the withdrawal of another team. The event is free for visitors so long as no entry is being charged for the main event.

Application Deadline:

The official deadline for the Can Racing championship is given on the application page! However, should there still be starting places free, you can make a last-minute application through the organiser up to 4 hours before the event.

General Rules:

Only teams who have completed and submitted the supplementary liability / insurance form to the organiser before the start of the event will be allowed into the tournament. If this organiser is charging an entry fee this must also have been paid. Drunk people will not be permitted to participate in the tournament. Participants must be at least 18 years old. Places will be allocated according to the order in which payment is received, rather than by when the application was submitted. Each team must be made up of 4 men or 4 women and must race the entire course in under 60 seconds. The attempt does not count if they do not complete it within this time and the team will be eliminated, even if they have another attempt remaining. Any use of external propulsion and items aiding sliding such as rockets, motors, detergents, Teflon sprays and spikes as well as pushing by outside persons is not permitted. Modification of the can is strictly forbidden and will lead to immediate disqualification. Participants may only push the can using the bar mounted on it. Carrying or rolling the can is expressly forbidden and will lead to disqualification. Should a team member pulling the can fall, the attempt will immediately be stopped by a referee, although the clock will continue to run. The organiser reserves the right to bar from the tournament any participants showing a lack of consideration or involved in other unfair incidents during the tournament.

Winnings:

The winning team's prize will be announced on the day of the tournament, if not before and will be provided by the organiser or the sponsor of that event.
